Easy Ways to Avoid Sticky Rice by Tarla Dalal



Wash the rice and let it soak in enough water for at least 15-20 minutes and drain, this helps to remove the extra starch. Adding a teaspoon of oil or a few drops of lemon juice to the water while cooking rice will prevent the rice from being sticky and ensure separate grains that can be used especially for fried rice, biryani etc.
